Rebecca Johnson
“I am an easel for the imagination of my clients to paint their own freedom upon.”
Rebecca Johnson is a seasoned trauma coach with over 18 years of experience in the mental health field, passionately dedicated to facilitating profound personal transformations. As the founder of The Anima Institute, Rebecca embodies the meaning of "Anima" — the soul — guiding her clients towards uncovering their innate potential and returning to a state of integration and wholeness, including receiving what they truly want in life.
Rebecca’s approach is grounded in innovative healing technologies, including Breathwork, Somatic Movement, Sound and Frequency Healing, Inner Child Work, Internal Family Systems, and Byron Katie's “The Work.” As a pioneer and world-class expert in EFT/Tapping, one of her favorite modalities, she brings a wealth of knowledge and creativity to her practice. Rebecca also holds a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, enhancing her ability to navigate complex emotional landscapes.
Believing firmly that all the keys to healing reside within ourselves, Rebecca empowers her clients to unlock these inner resources. Her work is characterized by a heart-centered approach, emphasizing authenticity, directness, and a deep understanding of human emotions. She meets clients where they are, offering a safe and nurturing space for them to explore their feelings and aspirations.
Rebecca is also an advocate for the transformative potential of psychedelic-assisted healing, including ketamine, MDMA, and Iboga. She eagerly anticipates the evolution of these therapies through legalization in the US.
Alongside her professional pursuits, Rebecca has a love for history, poetry, and is known for her exceptional communication skills. She is fascinated with manifestation, and enjoys traveling, being a bad golfer, spending time outdoors, birds, flowers and trees, bodies of water, sauna and cold plunging. She navigates raising her teenage son with determination and grit. Being his mom is one of the best things that has ever happened to her.
She feels very lucky to have been reunited with the love of her life after a 23 year long separation. She’s having fun (and grittiness) finally getting to implement all the things she’s learned over the years in order to build a solid relationship with him.
Rebecca loves her two dogs, plants, and culture and craves beauty and order in her life. She is a self-proclaimed mixologist and foodie who seeks growth, adventure and novel experiences.
